Production, project management, and realisation of large-scale creative work — from initial concept to long-term stewardship.
You are the artist, let us facilitate your work.
Studio Kollektivet Livet commissions, produces, and realises large-scale ideas — from early concepts to long-term stewardship.
We’re always looking to meet new artists, collectives, and creative collaborators. Whether you are seeking production leadership, project management, or an opportunity to realise large-scale work in the public realm, we want to hear from you. This page explains how we work and how to apply.
Why work with us?
> Clear, professional production from concept to installation.
> Full project administration: permits, technical coordination, insurance, and site logistics.
> Longstanding experience with public and urban art projects in Stockholm and beyond.
> Respectful, collaborative partnerships — it’s you we work with.
1. Discovery & intake
You send your CV and portfolio. We review your work against the brief, site requirements, and current project needs. If there is a match, we invite you to a short intake call to discuss interests, availability, and practical details.
2. Site survey & conditions
If your work is shortlisted, we conduct or request site measurements, photos, and technical documentation. This is to assess scale, materials, and installation requirements — and to make sure your idea is feasible in the given context.
3. Artist selection & matching
We present a curated shortlist to the client or project team. Selection is based on artistic fit, technical suitability, and the project’s objectives. You will be informed promptly of the outcome and next steps.
4. Mockups/sketch commission
Selected artists are invited to produce concept sketches or mockups (typically 1–3 artists per brief). These are compensated commissions and include a clear brief, budget frame, and timeline.
5. Final artist appointment & production planning
After client selection, we work with the appointed artist to finalise materials, obtain permits, plan logistics, and set the production schedule. Our production managers coordinate contractors, safety, lifts, and insurance.
6. Production, handover & maintenance
We oversee production and installation through completion, perform final inspection, and hand over documentation (maintenance guides/warranties) to the client or property owner. Where relevant, we offer ongoing maintenance contracts or advisory support for long-term care.
Practical information
